Fanatical about Botanical!

For this card, for Moxie Fab World's "Fanatical about Botanical"  And what, exactly, is botanical style?

"The botanical style (think botany) is characterized by realistic drawings or watercolors of flora and fauna. " (Moxie Fab World)

I thought of what a fanatic about birds would do - take lots of pictures and then send them to everyone, even those who are not the least interested in feathery animals (-:.
Anyway, for my card I used papers from 7 gypsies, stamps from Tweety Jill, birds of a feather and the bg is embossed with PTI texting plate. Since I embossed the bg I will also enter it at Simply Scrapping Crafts.
ps. I have a little giveaway of one of my favorite stampsets HERE
Have a great week-end, hugs Karin

100 FOLLOWERS GIVEAWAY!

This card is for you, my dear followers!

I can't really believe it, I started blogging about my papercrafting a little more than a year ago and entered my first challenge/bloghop on the 26th of August 2010 without really knowing what it was (-: I had recently signed up for PTI's newsletter and got a mail about "Bloghop tomorrow!" - To make something from a brown paperbag. I didn't have one so I went out and bought one, came home and made a little project, (using one of their free downloads because I didn't even have any of their stamps yet) posted it and linked it up only to realize I was one day late and the prizes were already drawn. But people were still hopping and I remember screaming with delight when I got my first comment ever (Thanks again Amy Kolling! of stamp-n paradise) - it really encouraged me to continue and I started looking for more challenges and bloghops.
After getting my first follower and being spotlighted by Sweet Stampin in September I was TOTALLY hooked ! So much has happened since (see designteams and recognition), I can't believe it has only been a year!
Anyway, today I am super excited to have 100 WONDERFUL followers - WOW you really are the best - so supportive and encouraging it is amazing. THANK YOU SO MUCH! So to celebrate how lucky I am I will have a little giveaway.

But First a very special thanks to the super sweet and generous Andrea at Anabelle Stamps! In February I ordered the cutest set from her called MUM (the one I made this card from) but when it hadn't reached me after 6 weeks I contacted her to ask what might have happened. She said she'd sent my set the day after she got my order but that she would post another set for me. I was super grateful for that since I wanted to use it for my mother's day cards (Mother's Day is the last Sunday in May here)
I recieved the new stampset a week later and could make my cards on time! And didn't think more about it till two weeks ago, when there was a little package from Australia in my mail - I open and it's the first MUM set Andrea sent me- unbelievable - over 4 months late )-: Wonder so where it has been.
So I wrote her and asked how I could return it and guess what she said - that I could use it for a giveaway instead so we agreed it would be perfect to save for either 100 followers or the 1 year anniversary - whichever came first.

So I am now super excited to be giving away this wonderful set (worth 19.95$ ) to one follower - new or old doesn't matter! Just make a comment in the comment section and become a follower if you are not already. I'll draw a winner on the 27th of August and will send it worldwide.

Here are some of my favorite cards from the past year:

Thank you all, big hugs, Karin
